Advisor — Financial Technology

Tom Fink serves as an advisor to Augment Ventures. With over 40 years of experience working with a variety of financial and modeling assignments, Mr. Fink is a recognized industry expert in global securities and investment management.

Mr. Fink currently serves as Senior Vice President and Managing Director at Trepp, the leading provider of information, analytics and technology to the CMBS, commercial real estate and banking markets. Prior to joining Trepp, Mr. Fink directed analytical and support teams at several securities firms and served as the Chief Financial Officer at the North American Development Bank. Additionally, he served on the faculty of NYU, lecturing in corporate finance and modeling.

With a strong background in financial engineering and modeling assignments, Mr. Fink is a frequent speaker at numerous industry conferences, is regularly quoted in the press, and has appeared on ABC’s World News Tonight and CNBC’s Squawkbox. Mr. Fink has participated in various committees of the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council (CREFC) and regularly authors a quarterly market report for CREFC World. Mr. Fink is a past member of the Board of Directors for MISMO®. He currently serves on the Board of Directors Mercatus, Inc., a privately held company providing an integrated solution to developers, owners and operators of renewable energy resources globally.

Mr. Fink holds a BS in Foreign Service from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and a Juris Doctor degree from Seton Hall University. In 2012, Mr. Fink was admitted to the Counselors of Real Estate, a membership organization established exclusively for real estate advisors who provide intelligent, unbiased, and trusted advice for a client or employer.
